We’re talking today about skepticism of Christianity, doubts about your faith, abandoning your faith, or never having your own relationship with Jesus at all. My guest today is Janell Wood, host of the podcast "Finding Something Real", which she describes, is for seekers and believers needing encouragement. It's for the believer struggling with faith and the skeptic struggling with doubt. Neither of us are apologetic experts. We are sitting here chatting about this topic to day as sisters in Christ, over our favorite beverage. We don’t have all the answers but we are having a honest, real conversation about why we believe in Jesus. We also talk about how to overcome the fear of sharing your faith with an unbeliever. It is ok to have questions or doubts about what we believe. The point is to talk about these things, don’t ignore them.

Steven R Tracy, Ph.D.
Steve is the President and International Director for Mending the Soul, and professor of theology and ethics at Phoenix Seminary where he has taught since 1995. He has also served as a church pastor for fifteen years. Steve’s research and writing are focused on biblical ethics, sexuality, and abuse. He received a B.A. from Arizona State, an M.Div. and Th.M. from Western Seminary and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the University of Sheffield (England) with a research focus on Pauline ethics. In addition to his domestic work, Steve, along with his wife Celestia, spend 4-8 weeks a year in East Africa coordinating and supervising international trauma training teams. Steve is the author of seven books and numerous book chapters and journal articles. Steve and Celestia have three grown children, who, with their families, partner with them in ministries of justice and mercy.

Sandy Kirkham and her husband Bill enjoy life with their two grown children, two beautiful granddaughters, and two fairly well-behaved dogs. Sandy continues to use her voice to help victims of clergy abuse. She currently serves on the board of Council Against Child Abuse. Sandy has spoken before the Ohio Senate, a Maryland court, and appeared on a local television show in Boston. Her story, “Stolen Innocence,” was told in a documentary produced by The Hope of Survivors. Sandy works with survivors conducting victim support conferences. She has participated in The Voice of the Faithful (VOTF) panels moderated by SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests), sharing her perspective from the non-Catholic point of view. Sandy has been a presenter/speaker at major events on clergy abuse including the Hope & Healing Conference. Sandy has earned a certificate of completion from the Faith Trust Institute entitled, “A Sacred Trust: Boundary Issues for Clergy and Spiritual Teachers.”

Roselly Genao is a podcast host, spiritual coach and an operations supervisor in the emergency services industry. Roselly has been serving God faithfully since November 2019, shortly after she survived a traumatic attack on her life.
