We have Part 2 of my guest Victoria Cuore's riveting story! This week we cover her abuser's drug addictions, affairs, and continued violence towards her and her daughter. She believes her faith in God kept her alive through the abuse and gave her hope to go on in the darkest hours. She shares when she was finally able to fight back against the monster and finally be free from him forever. Victoria gives some very practical advice on how to leave your abuser at the end of the show. Don't miss this episode!
About Victoria:
I advocate for both survivors of abuse as well as special needs families. I have had close to 100+ surgeries to correct the damage that my ex caused from all of the abuse. I am here to help others bring back their inner light and beauty.
I am a survivor and mother of a special need's miracle child. With more than 16 years of educating myself and countless others within the special needs community. I bring light to those who've known true darkness. I have dedicated a large portion of my life to aiding those who were not in a position to help themselves. I have several degrees and certifications which also include a Paralegal Degree, ASL Masters, First Aid/AED/CPR, Tracheostomy Certification, 2 Black Belts in mixed Martial Arts and am currently furthering my studies through online classes at Yale. I also speak to groups of domestic violence survivors as well as advocate for both survivors as well as special needs families. I am an accomplished author and work throughout the year to help bring awareness along with toys for the special needs communities. My daughter and I have been featured on tv advocating for those with challenging abilities and also with abused women. Having become a survivor has made me into a "Pitbull". I advocate for these families and individuals and fight tooth and nail for them. We work with special needs families and children as well as survivors of domestic violence. We offer many different opportunities, such as free social groups that allow individuals the chance to make new friends that accept us without judgment and without the fear of being bullied. We also offer classes, legal document preparation and so much more.

We have a a perfect episode for Mother's Day week. I have my special guest Melissa Reilly here to give us some valuable advice on how to raise our kids when our mother is not present. It doesn't matter if we are missing our mom from either estrangement, death, or living far away. Raising kids without your Mom is difficult. Melissa shares with us her stories of her childhood filled with traumatic losses of multiple family members, her discovery with God in relation to death, and the adventures of raising children later in life. You will be so blessed!
BIO:
Alone in the hospital room six hours after giving birth I felt an unbelievable emotional pain that felt like part of me was breaking. I lost my mother 15 years previously and yet in that moment the pain I felt over her absence was as if she had just died again. I couldn’t believe that instead of being consumed with joy I was overwhelmed with grief. What was wrong with me?Moms separated from their own mother by physical distance, emotional estrangement or death experience a grief process that is rarely identified, let alone talked about. As a clinical psychologist and mom coach I love to help moms without a mom heal through grief, build community, feel joy in motherhood and move from feelings of isolation, insecurity and overwhelm to a place of confidence and resilience.
Melissa Reilly is a mom of two boys, clinical psychologist and parent coach who is passionate about helping moms separated from their mother by physical distance, estrangement, or death, move from feelings of insecurity, isolation and overwhelm to a place of resilience.
Here is my free guide “Bonding with Baby while caring for yourself” designed to help postpartum moms without a mom develop strategies to care for themselves without needing to find extra time away from their baby.
