We all know that Jesus suffered and died for us on the cross, but have you ever considered that Jesus can relate to those of us who are abuse survivors? We are exploring a different perspective of the life and death of Jesus-That he was an abuse survivor Himself. I talk about his birth, his ministry, his array of human emotions, the loss of loved ones, the religious leaders trying to destroy Him, his illegal trial, and being abandoned and betrayed by those closest to Him. I am recording this during Easter weekend, we just came from our Good Friday activity, which was stations of the cross. it's not the same as the Catholic stations of the cross. It's more of an interpretation. They use art, different [00:01:00] expressions of artistic forms, different mediums, and you go through the eight stations and there's bible verses. [00:01:11] There's prayers and different things to think about. Sometimes there's music or sound effects. And every year it's different. It's really a great way to get into that meditative state where we're thinking about what God has done for us. And a celebration on Sunday, resurrection Sunday when he rose from the dead.
